No-freewebs

Freewebs is a free hosting site for websites or people just starting out in the website world. It is a very good host and it has lots of widgets and customization tools to make your site, it even offers a template or html based site construction. On some sites when you want to apply for affiliates or enter contests, the rules will say no freewebs. My question is why?

Freewebs (when used properly) can create a very elegant and stylish website. Should a site be excluded because of their hosting choice or by their content quality and creativity. I personally think if you should be rejected from participating in any contests or other forms of affiliation with site you should be denied only because of your content is not very good or your website is not as advanced as others

I really like sites that give options when applying for affiliates or competing in contests such as, freewebs-only if very talented. They show equality and demonstrate that a good web/graphic designer can make freewebs something amazing. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion especially when their the ones making the sites. Those who are rejected because of freewebs should just accept the fact that some people dont want to be affiliated with freeweb sites and move on to others, because their are millions of others sites to go visit (the internet is a very big place lol)

Tips for your website

content-

content should be very high quality and appealing to all audiences. I try to make my stuff as versitile as possible. Also when uploading graphics its good to save in a png format because that always comes out best. Always remember quality over quantity, you can have a whole bunch of content on your site but if its not good quality (looks like you made it in ten seconds or less) no one will use it so take your time and you will be satisfied when people continue to use your content

fonts-

fonts should be very readable and clear for everyone to read. A font like this wont work at all lol you shouldnt have to pull out a magnifying glass to read on your site, if so people will get irritated and leave. Also keep the font style simple, for instance "DoNT WR(te L!KE thiSS" it looks really childish and stupid(in my opinion) keep your fonts looking simple yet use colors that are readable and elegant

layouts- the first thing people see on your site is your layout so make it look nice. you want people to remember your site for the mind-blowing image effects instead of them going blind because your colors are WAY to bright and theres paint globs all and zebras and monkeys all over the place

getting a website -

there are many hosts for websites across the web, just choose one thats good for you, i use webs.com because its very simple and easy to use, give it a try

organization -

keep your site organized so that way links are easily accesible, so that way people dont have to do work to find your content

Facebook

Facebook is a very good way to keep in contact with friends, old and new and a good networking site, but where do you draw the line on what to put on your facebook and what not to put

good examples of what not to put on your facebook profile:

phone number- your phone number should not be on your facebook profile, reason being there are many "bad" people in the world who use facebook to find people to bother and harass, if your phone number is up you will make there job easier, and if you use facebook mobile texts, your number might automatically be added to your facebook profile but make a conscience effort to take it off whether your page is private or not because hackers exist and they can get past passwords

to much personal info- your facebook book should be informative of who you are but not other information like where you live, that should be kept off facebook period, no excuses! I mean its pretty simple when you think about it, do you want EVERYONE ON FACEBOOK knowing where you live? by placing your address your giving away that exact impression. So be careful

status blaa blaa blaa- some statuses on facebook range from a variety of topics including personal problems, views, feelings etc. Dont place facebook statuses you not afraid sharing with everyone because your status is in plain view for everyone to see. Dont place anything personal on your facebook status, you would think people know this but ive seen stuff that should stay off facebook completely.

have fun- like stated earlier facebook is a godd way to keep in contact with friends old and new so keep in touch, join groups, fanclubs etc. Just remember facebook is a very public place so just be careful of what information you put on your profile
