Transparent Box

1) First open an image

2) Now create a new layer and select the rectangular marquee and select the part of the image you want to be a transparent box
3) Now left click and scroll over fill path and fill it with white, now go to the layers tab and make the opacity of the box you just made 37% and you should get something like this
